Seminar: 4th Asian migrant workers summit – Hong Kong and Macau

Meng Wah Complex, Theatre 2, Main Campus(Map)Leaders from Asian migrant organizations in Hong Kong and Macau will gather to discuss the current situation of migrants in Hong Kong and to define strategies to defend migrants’ rights. Panelists will present on the United Nations Global Compact for Migration and the impact of neoliberal development agendas on the situation of migrant workers in Hong Kong and Macau.
Presentations by the Asian Migrants Coordinating Body (AMCB), the Asia-Pacific Mission for Migrants (APMM), the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) and the International Migrants Alliance (IMA) will be followed by an open forum to formulate a plan of advocacy, education and action.
