To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of HKU Sociology, we are proud to present this unique exhibition showcasing the story of the Department in parallel with key historical moments in Hong Kong.

The exhibition will explore the story of the department through artifacts ranging from archival materials to recent student presentations, in a lively and interactive manner.

This exhibition forms part of a series of events celebrating ‘50 Years of Hong Kong, 50 Years of HKU Sociology’, including a high-profile roundtable discussion, and the Annual Conference of the Hong Kong Sociological Association, which is being hosted by HKU this year.

Opening hours

Monday – Saturday: 10:30am – 5:45pm
Sundays and public holidays: Closed

Free admission.

Launch reception

A special public opening reception will take place on Friday 2 December, 7:00pm – 7:30pm.
