Biography

Kato is a full-time MPhil student at HKU. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts with majors in Sociology and Linguistics from HKU. His research interests include social theories, new religious movements, ethnicity and nationalism, sociology of knowledge and cultural industry. His current project is about the identity formation of Hong Kong people in relation to mainland Chinese through fashion.
