Ms Wu Qihui

MPhil Student



Qihui Wu is a full-time MPhil student at HKU Sociology. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from China Agricultural University and M.F.A. in documentary media from Northwestern University. She has worked as a documentary filmmaker and media consultant in China. Her primary research interests include anthropology of religion, anthropology of media, and Sino-Tibetan Relations. Her current research focuses on Tibetan Buddhism Revival in contemporary China. Qihui’s documentary films have been distributed in America and Canada. Her thesis film Chosen People has been selected to the short film series Chicago Shorts Vol.3 and several international film festivals.
