The Art of Resistance: Three Strategies to Challenge Master Narratives

23 August 2023 at 8:30:00 am

This seminar introduces the concepts of Master Narratives and Narrative Resistance, illustrating both theoretically and with concrete examples how Master Narratives are opposed or replaced by other narratives, often referred to as Counter-narratives. Drawing on recent studies in sociology and criminology, the seminar presents the latest developments in Narrative Resistance and, specifically, on how three strategies of Narrative Resistance have been conceptualized to challenge the Master Narratives of organized crime.
