Ziqi Xuan is a full-time PhD student at HKU Sociology. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Peking University and MPhil degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.

Her research interests include collective memory, nostalgia and religious issues in China. Now she is focusing on the nostalgia for hardship constructed by Chinese literary and art works.
