Ziqi Xuan received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Peking University and MPhil degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
Her research focus on religious practices around Mount Tai (泰山), with a specific attention on the formation of collective memory about the sacred mountain in contemporary times. Additionally, she explores the construction of sacred spaces and pilgrimage traditions in Beijing and Tai’an during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
