Prof Araki has recently secured a grant (2 million Japanese Yen) for the research project on “Well-being and Social Inequality in East Asia” from the Resona Foundation for Asia and Oceania (https://www.resona-ao.or.jp/en/index.html). This grant will be used to promote comparative studies on inequalities in multidimensional well-being, and it will foster the ongoing tri-university collaboration between the University of Hong Kong, the University of Tokyo, and Korea University, which was officially launched in December 2023 (https://www.socsc.hku.hk/events/rhps/wsi/).
