
Dr. Chan Ka Ming researches Hong Kong cinema, popular culture and music, animal ethics, environment humanities and eco-cinema. His undergraduate studies majored in sociology and psychology in HKU; and he started his master studies in the Department of Sociology of HKU with the research topic related to postcolonial Hong Kong and social identification. With his PhD studies in Hong Kong co-production cinema, he graduated in the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
He is currently doing research in Hong Kong cinema and Hong Kong subjectivity; and he is also writing a book in the field of eco-cinema studies.
