Joyce is a full-time PhD student at HKU Sociology. She received her bachelor’s degree in social sciences from The University of Hong Kong and master’s degree in criminal justice policy at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
Her research interests span technology, markets, ethics and society. Prior to her PhD studies, she worked as a research assistant at local universities on different projects, in which she explored topics related to Web3 regulation; fact-checking and information literacy; and markets and climate finance. She uses ethnography and in-depth interviews as her major research methods.
