We are so very pleased that two of our colleagues from the Sociology department have been recognised by the Faculty of Social Sciences for their outstanding contributions. 

Professor Laidler’s nomination for the Outstanding Research Student Supervisor Award was kept a secret to her, and the nomination was coordinated by her former and current students. Her support in mentoring her students and helping them achieve their successes today is truly exceptional.  Ms. Tina Wu’s extremely hard work and dedication to the department is recognized by all of us within the department so it is very gratifying to note that the faculty has also recognized her talent, skills and work.
