
Cadence is a Teaching Assistant of Department of Sociology at the University of Hong Kong; she has taught tutorials and provided teaching assistance to the following courses, Introduction to Sociology, Qualitative Research Method, Media and Culture in Modern Society, Girl Power in a Man’s World, Sociology of Knowledge, Science, and Technology, and Real Harm in an Unreal World: Crime, Regulation and AI. Cadence is also a part-time Lecturer in the University of Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE).
Her research broadly centers on gender, crime, media and technology. She obtained the Bachelor of Criminology and Sociology (criminology stream) at the City University of Hong Kong, and her Master of Social Sciences in the field of Media, Culture & Creative Cities (MCCC) at the University of Hong Kong. She is pursuing her PhD in Sociology at the University of Hong Kong.
