I am a full-time PhD student in Sociology at the University of Hong Kong, beginning in 2024. My research focuses on the impact of digital culture on everyday life, with a specific interest in prosumption within the rapidly growing Chinese podcasting industry and its intersection with other local internet cultures. By connecting creators, listeners, and other stakeholders, I aim to contribute to the growth and vibrancy of podcasting communities in China and beyond.
Prior to my PhD studies, I obtained my Master’s degree in Media, Culture, and Creative Cities from HKU and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Art from UBC, Canada. I also have a year of experience as a full-time research assistant in social innovation and social enterprise research at HKU CSRP.
As an aspiring cultural sociologist, I am dedicated to connecting the local insights of my research with global communication networks to promote cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. I am open to collaborations in podcasts, music, and creativity studies.
