  • Jona Barabas is a full-time PhD student in Sociology at the University of Hong Kong. Born and raised in the Scandinavian wilderness, Jona has spent the past decade shuttling back and forth between his homeland and various locations in East Asia. Writing his master’s thesis on the topic of queer Chinese literature inspired Jona to undertake his current research project, which aims to document how gender diversity is perceived and navigated in Taiwanese families.
