Ken Chen is a full-time Ph.D. student at HKU. He received his bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the Temple University, Japan. Ken holds two master’s degrees—an LL.M. from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Criminology from the University of Hong Kong.
His research focuses on the social order of the cryptocurrency market in mainland China, particularly the risks and risk mitigation strategies within fiat–stablecoin transactions and how participants in the stablecoin market signal trustworthiness. He is also interested in the policing cryptocurrency-enabled crimes in mainland China.
